Functional Skills provides courses in English, Maths and ICT. We will help you to find a suitable course at the right level, based on your initial assessment and interview. You will get a nationally recognised qualification.
Functional Skills is a series of courses, to which are five levels, Entry Level 1, Entry Level 2, Entry Level 3, Full Level 1, and Full Level 2. The Full Level 2 Maths & English qualifications are the same as a GCSE pass grade (GCSE 9-4 or A*-C in old GCSE grading system).
Functional Skills helps you to improve your skills in practical ways. Functional Skills in Maths will help you develop maths skills needed for work and day to day life. Functional Skills English helps you to improve your English skills in practical ways; it covers essential English skills such as reading, writing, and speaking. Functional Skills ICT will help you improve your skills and help you develop the practical ICT skills you need with for everyday study and work life. Our courses will improve your knowledge.
Achieving your Functional Skills Level 2 will help you:
- Apply for a job that requires GCSE Maths or English pass grade.
- Access Higher Education, Apprenticeships, and Degree courses at University.
- Improve your skills and confidence with day-to-day tasks.
